Full Sun (FS) – 6-8 hours of direct sunlight.

 
Part Sun (PS) – A greater emphasis is put on its receiving the minimal sun requirements.

 
Part Shade (PSH) – Should not be planted where they will get the burning late afternoon sun. Plant where it will get shaded from a tree or plant on the east side of a building.

 
Full Shade (SH) – Less than 3 hours of direct sunlight each day, with filtered sunlight during the rest of the day. Full shade does not mean “no sunlight.” There are very few plants that will grow in the dark.

Rainforest Sunrise – is a sport of Maui Buttercups and was the 2013 Hosta of the Year. The heavily puckered, cup shaped leaves have gold centers and dark green margins. The centers gradually lighten as the season progresses. Rainforest Sunrise’ has a moderate growth rate, forming a clump 10″ high by 24” wide. The foliage has good substance and good slug resistance. The very pale lavender flowers appear on 18-24″ scapes in mid-summer. Rainforest Sunrise has the best color when planted in an area that receives morning sun.

Robert Frost

Robert Frost is a hybrid of Banana Sundae and Francis Williams. The blueish green leaves have creamy yellow to white margins that jet towards the middle. They are broad, oval shaped and have good substance. Robert Frost is a large hosta that will reach 23” tall by 42” wide at a moderate growth rate. The nearly white flowers appear on 30″-35″ scapes in mid to late summer.
